Marianne's Race for Life
Newcastle 5k 2018
Sun 15 Jul 2018
Ok so my last Race for Life was 9/10 years ago. 3 years ago I said goodbye to my amazing Step-daddy, Bill, who died of lung cancer. We knew his death was inevitable as he couldn't be cured and we were lucky to have him live longer than originally diagnosed. Watching him die was heartbreaking, as anyone who has lost someone will know. 3 years since I said goodbye and it doesn't get easier but quite frankly it's time I helped fight this awful killer again. I am currently overweight and unfit so along with raising money I'll hopefully get some fitness back so two birds/one stone. Whatever you can spare is appreciated, it' all for a good cause. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
