Maria and Janey's latest challenge 2022!

UPDATE May 2021: Janey and I have delayed our event to November 2022 to work on our physical and emotional fitness so that we have the best chance of completing this tough challenge and earning your sponsorship. Please be patient with us January 2020: May we begin by thanking each and every one of you for the donations you have made for us in the past. You have helped us to raise many thousands of pounds to support people struggling with mental health, dementia and cancer. ❤️ We worked hard for it 😊. A quick summary, our joint charity adventures began with the London to Brighton run (walk, crawl) in 2014; we conquered Ben Nevis at midnight in 2015; a double marathon in the Sahara in 2016, followed by a double up and over Mount Etna in 2017 before we completed a Spanish triple marathon in 2018. For many reasons we took a break in 2019. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. We are back with a new challenge - Race to the Wreck, we are flying to Namibia to complete 203km (126 miles) in 4.5 days. Yes that is almost 5 marathons !!! We will journey across the Namib Desert to the Skeleton Coast. The terrain includes mountain, dry river, canyon and the World’s largest sand dunes in the Namib Naukluft National Park. We will follow the course of the ancient Kuiseb River until it is blocked by the Sand Dune Sea. We will be camping out in the desert so will be packing plenty of wet wipes, sun cream and medi-talc ! We are equal parts terrified and excited. As always we are self funding this trip so your donation will go direct to Cancer Research UK.
