Min's Peak District Hike

^^^^ Look at our sad little faces in the picture, as we train for this challenge. The only thing that will make us happy is if we raise some money! Dig deep… This year Me and my cousin have decided to take on the Race for Life peak district hike on 8th September 2018. A hike comprising of 26 miles starting from Bakewell and ending at Carsington Water. Typically we would take part in the 5k or 10k races but this year we had a bright idea (as we always do!) to take on this challenge. As I’ve started to train towards it I’ve realised that it’s not going to be an easy feat, however as I write this my motivation is stronger than ever... Sadly in December 2017 my cousin Manjit lost her 7 year long battle with cancer. Throughout this time Manj remained extremely positive, she continued to smile and made every moment count. She fought a good fight all the way until she took her last breath, defying all odds until the end. It's this strength and courage that I will always remember as well as her beautiful smile. This hike is my way of remembering Manj, raising awareness and raising money so that research can continue and hopefully end this selfish disease soon.
