Katy Holmes
Stuart and I shall be running the Race for Life this year in memory of the beautiful Katy Holmes who lost her battle with Bowel Cancer 3 years ago at the age of 31. Katy organised her own huge team in 2019 to take part so she could help the research for cancer sufferers. Katy died far too young so I would just like to continue her fight to help find a cure for anyone who is suffering or is having difficulty getting the correct help from their GP 'because they are too young for it to be happening to them'. I shall be running with the Get-Lene team who have all known someone who has suffered or who is suffering right now. If you can help me raise a little bit towards my run, I would be most grateful. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
