My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This June, I’m walking 100 miles in the month to help beat cancer. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. We can all play our part to support the research that will beat it. Help fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page. I found myself here on this page having family and friends over the years effected by cancer and my own journey through ill health that is not cancer related. 100 miles in a month feels like a mammoth task to undertake right now. My post surgery rehab starts 1st July. This mission is a daily motivational drip feed until the serious work begins. I thought why not raise money on my rehab journey for a cause close to my heart. Surgery I’ve undergone and in minimal details that I’m happy to share. Spinal ACDF, mammoplasty and hand surgery. Having caught cv19 early in 2020 and diagnosed with pulmonary embolism and I spent a lot of time in and out of hospital. I have gone back to back illness after illness and I feel incredibly lucky that I can see the recovery road in reaching distance. It is going to be a hard slog for me so I please kindly ask for encouragement with some pennies for a good cause whilst doing so.
