In memory of
Michael Mackenzie & Allan Ord
I'm braving the Cold Water Challenge in November This November, I’m immersing myself in cold water every day of the month to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. My husband Michael died from brain cancer, my dad from bowel cancer not to mention the friends I have living with various kinds of cancer. In all reality 30 seconds in cold water everyday for a month is nothing compared to what cancer patients have to deal with. Investment in research won’t help them, but it could help others in the future so why not. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. All of us can support the research that will beat it. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
