Morgan, Maggie, Maja & Sue are raising money for cancer research.
We all have our own reasons for doing this “Race for Life” in aid of Cancer Research. Speak to anyone and everyone knows someone who is either battling or lost their life to this awful disease. We all decided to do this walk to raise money to help fight against cancer. Maggie, In memory of my sister Mary who passed away last year from Lung Cancer, after battling Breast cancer back in the 1990s. My Dad Frank, my Uncle Bill, my Auntie Gert, a dear friend Trish in 2013. Sue, in Memory of my Dear Dad Kenneth who passed away in 1981 from Stomach Cancer, My Dear Mum and best Friend Sylvia who passed away 2013 from Ovarian Cancer, My Grandmother, and 2 x Grandfathers. Maja, In memory of my amazing granddad who passed away from cancer nearly 18 years ago, so this cause is particularly close to my heart. I am grateful to have so many fond memories of him, but do regret that my younger brother was not given the same opportunity. Hopefully a well funded research will one day allow us to end cancer once in for all. Morgan who wanted to do this race in memory of her Auntie Mary. Robert, a Husband, Son, Brother and Father who has had Leukemia since 2000 and still fights the battle.
