2026 Great North Run
My Story
On the 8th of July we sadly lost my grandad John. I am running the Great North Run in his memory, and to raise money for Cancer Research UK. My family and I are lucky to have had so much time with him after he was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma 24 years ago. The work Cancer Research does around the diagnosis and treatment of Cancer is so important - the money we raise means other families can have the time with their loved ones like we did. I love my Grandad dearly - and will forever admire his incredible strength. He was our Superman.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
