Madeline Walks All Over Cancer

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking at least 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by sponsoring me. As you perhaps know, statistically about 50% of us could get cancer in our lifetimes. Fortunately many cancers are now treatable but what about the ones that aren't? As a lapsed biochemist, I am sure that advances in genetics will enable scientists to get to the bottom of which genes are responsible but research is expensive and there's never quite enough money to pay for everything that's needed. How many times did I wish I had a working centrifuge when I was doing research?? My Aunt died as a result of cancer and my Dad had it too. Many friends have been successfully treated or are currently undergoing treatment and I would like to give something back and hope that you would too. I'll try and post pictures of my progress to the gallery. Here's hoping that the weather is as good in March as it has been this month and I can get out to explore more of our local area - otherwise the treadmill will see a lot of action!
