My Story
I am raising money for Cancer Research, specifically for treatments of rare cancers. Last year a close family friend sadly passed from an extremely rare cancer, Pseudomyxoma petritonei. Only one in a million people are diagnosed with this very rare cancer so I would like to raise money towards researching cancers like this one. Our dear friend, Jane, was such an incredible lady and truly one of a kind. I have such fond memories of Jane and will never forget all the love and attention she showed to me, particularly when it was most needed. It is my memories of Jane which has motivated me even more when I’ve been training for this event; I know how surprised and proud she would be. I have been on a very long journey to improve my fitness and am looking forward to running this half marathon with my brother in memory of Jane.

But these treatments don’t work for everyone and can have short- and long-term side effects.
