Lynsey's China Challenge

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. In December 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer and had to immediately undergo life saving surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. 2016 was a pretty tough year but made all the more bearable by the outstanding support I received from family and friends and Breast Cancer Support charities. Family and friends have been remarkable in undertaking awesome charity events during this time to raise vital funds for these organisations and ensure everyone affected by this disease can receive the support they need. Following my treatment I have been left with life changing changes to my health but despite this I want to take my turn to raise funds for Cancer Research!! In 2017 I want to raise money to fund research to try and prevent others going through the same experience and ultimately, make treatments available as effective as possible. In September 2017, I'm going to spend 12 days Trekking along the Great Wall of China with the aim of raising as much money as I can along the way. I'm self funding the trek but would love to raise £750 towards the cost which is the amount that goes to Cancer Research. To achieve this I'm aiming to complete an activity or hold an event each month in the run up to the trek to raise funds so watch this space and my Facebook page for what I'm up to each month. Please note, I won't be shaving my head as it's taken me 6 months to get to the point my head no longer looks like a toilet brush!!!!
