My Story
In November 2025, Lynne passed away after nearly a decade of fighting. We as a family are continuing the fundraising she started, where she raised a whopping £16,031 before she passed. Stay tuned for our upcoming events! And as always, thank you all so much for your love and support 🫶 In March this year (2021) I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. The cancer this time had invaded my pelvis. Further tests revealed this was terminal. So not only did I have to cope with the pain this was causing me in every day life, but I had to accept that this time the cancer had won. Back in 2016 I fought really hard to beat my breast cancer. It wasn’t an easy journey & it left me with life long problems. I felt I was forever living in cancers shadows. But this time it was different, no matter how much I want to fight this, it’s got me, it’s controlling me. But I’m not going down without a fight. I am a wife, a mum, a nanny & a friend, this gives me the spur to battle on. I am fundraising to support Cancer Research UK with the hopes, one day a cure will be found. In the 1970’s,less than a quarter of people with cancer survived. But over the last 40 years, survival has doubled - today half will survive. Cancer Research UK ambition is to accelerate progress & see three-quarters of people surviving the disease within the next 20 years. No matter how much you can donate, every penny will count. Please help me raise as much money as I can to help this research continue. I want to know that my battle wasn’t in vain & by helping raising money will help another family not go through what I have. This is my lasting legacy, Cancer is evil, let’s try help find a cure.
