This is our third Shine walk in memory of our wonderful son-in-law, Nicky.

We always hope it won't affect us or our loved ones, but 1 in 3 people will develop cancer. We never imagined it would be our 32 year old son-in-law. He was incredibly brave in facing his appendix cancer, making the most of his two years with the diagnosis, but sadly he passed away in March 2015, leaving our daughter a widow at just 35 years of age, with a 4 year old son. We don't want others to suffer as Nicky, Kerry and Ethan have done. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives.
