Lynette's Giving Page

I have always wanted to do a tandem skydive for many year's, since I was in my mid 20's, but I never had the courage to do it. But one day, things changed in my life. I went through something so scary that it made me see the world in a completely different light. I never knew how bad people could be, and it took me many, many years, to get over my past and to trust other people again. Now, all these years later, although I will always remember what has happened, I have learnt so much from it and have grown into a better, stronger woman. The world can change, if we change the way we see, hear and feel things, and do a little more to help others. I've always been someone that helps other people and I always will. In my spare time, I love charity shopping as the money goes to a charity and helps others, who are in need of help and support. I understand we have all been through difficult and challenging times, these past couple of years with the pandemic. Something like that can change the way we are inside and help us care a bit more. So this year I've decided to start doing some of the things l've always wanted to do, freefalling thousands of feet from an aeroplane! The charity, Cancer Research UK, is dear to my heart, because I've known friends and family that have battled with it, some sadly passing away. Recently we lost a lovely resident to cancer, at my workplace. It got to me a lot more, than I thought it would. But all of us came together, to give her the best memories with the time she had left. So, as this is a first for me, raising money on line. I am hoping that all you kind heart's and soul's out there, will support this charity.
