My Story
We have decided to run the race & donate together for close family members & friends that have been sadly affected by Cancer. Here are the details of everyone who we will be fundraising on behalf of: Callum Lynch – Just before his 25th Birthday Callum received the devastating news that he has a rare type of Cancer called Insulinoma. The wonderful oncology team at QA hospital are doing their absolute best to manage this disease and he has been receiving nonstop various treatments during the past two years. Currently, there is no cure for this rare type of cancer, so every penny raised is a massive step towards this! Trevor Ayling - has been bravely battling Prostate Cancer for the last 3.5 years. Trevor has undergone intensive treatments in the hope of a full recovery. Fortunately, he is still winning this fight, fighting his battle every day. Jean Watts - Currently battling Cervical and Bowel cancer. She has had a successful surgery, undergoing further treatment & nearly on the road to recovery! Cancer effects 1 in 2 people, so sadly many of us have close family & friends who have been taken to soon by this awful illness and they are forever in our thoughts.
