My Story
I don’t generally share personal stuff but I’d like to share this, not only to show you that you are capable of anything if you have the right support and mindset but to hopefully talk some of you into parting with a few pennies! You may not have known but I’m currently on a long journey of weighloss and getting healthy, after years of being in pain every day, having no energy or drive and my mental health dipping, I finally got my butt in gear and have been doing something about it. By working on my mental and emotional health with Reiki and mediation, good diet and regular exercise, it finds me a point where I’m feeling stronger, fitter and healthier than I have in years with just over 7st lost, training 3-4 times per week and martial arts weekly as well, I’m ready for a challenge. I’ve chosen to do the muddy 5k for race for life, not only is it a challenge for me personally (I hate mud and running!) but it’s for a cause very close to my heart, having lost close family and friends to this awful disease, as I’m sure lots of you have too. If any of you can spare even a few pounds to sponsor me I’d really appreciate it and if you’d like to watch me getting covered in mud and hating every second of it then you know where to find me! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. I’ve lost family and dear friends to cancer, it’s touch most people’s lives and I’m ready to lend a hand (or legs) to help raise much needed funds to help beat this awful disease. Who’s with me? 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
