I'm raising money for cancer research by doing this challenge, to not only push myself, but to show support to my family and friends which have suffered or are suffering with Cancer.

My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to be doing the Run 100 Miles challenge this April to help raise money for Cancer Research UK and show support for people suffering with Cancer, to help them know that they are not alone. My Nan died of cancer a couple of months before i was born meaning i sadly never got to meet her. My grandad has suffered with prostate cancer, and a few close family friends have suffered and are suffering with cancer at the moment. It is important to stand by the people suffering and show support for them, letting them know that you are standing by their side for ever step of the tough recovery journey. Hopefully me completing this challenge can help change people’s mindset whilst suffering with cancer, to help them believe they can get through it. Once again thank you for your support, Luke.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
