My Story
This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer Cancer is something that affects pretty much all of us. Last year my husband Chris was diagnosed with a Cancerous tumour in his small bowel (GIST). By a cruel coincidence, my good friend Paula from work was also diagnosed with a similar type of cancer. Chris is 40 and Paula is just 36. Both Chris and Paula are currently receiving treatment at different stages. Whilst we all have every reason to be positive, life is still upside down for everyone around and will be for some time. The work that cancer research does is vital and hopefully money raised now can really help other people deal with this terrible disease in the future.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
