My Story

So the reason behind me participating in the race for life 2018? It’s heartbreaking knowing that people are loosing there battles to cancer all over world but it has that extra effect when it’s somebody close to you ...lots of people in my family have suffered from this horrible disease, from my beautiful nannan who sadly I never got to meet to Aunties and uncles still fighting or gone way too soon but there was one wonderful man who sadly lost his fight when I was just turned 13. This was my uncle Phil but to me I didn’t look to him as an uncle as he was the father figure in my life and I did almost everything with him I went to my Aunty and uncles every weekend and we was basically inseparable the bond we shared was incredible he was even the one to see my first steps. I never realised how much I looked to him as a dad until it was too late and I regret never telling him how much he really meant to me. Now I want to do something that will say thank you for all he did for me and what better way to do that than raise money for a charity that is close to our hearts. I love charity work from bake sales to sponcered walks with college and now race for life anything that could possibly save lives I’m in !! So this is the first time i will be playing a part in the Race For Life to raise money for cancer research. And I have been inspired to do this by Miss Jade Amelia Thirlwall (little mix) she works so hard all year round raising thousands of pounds for a cancer charity near her home town called cancer connections even on her own birthday she puts it aside to go and participate in their annual Boxing Day dip. Little mix as a whole are such a big inspiration to me and without them realising they are a big part of my life from working closely to LGBT, mental health and lots more charitys to working for the all important cancer charities. They not only raise awareness they have also raised thousands of pounds!! Also The Ingham Family .. this family does so much for charity’s and do so many donations to special places like hospital baby units to help premature baby’s .. their vlogs inspire me so much and I thank them all for giving me the confidence to participate in events like the Race For Life!! I will be participating with Brogan Halliday and more family on the 4th July 2018 in the Barnsley Race For Life. :P I am hoping to raise around £100 and hoping that’s every year I can raise more and more So please sponsor me as much or as little as you can it all helps! You can either sponser me online , it is quick, easy and much more secure! or give me in person :) I am doing this Race not just for the people i have lost, but for the people who need the help, the people who cant run this race. A lot of people are lost through cancer each year and just by you sponsoring me can help the treatment and help them have a better life. It will help the families and the friends of the people who are suffering. You may not see it helping but it really does even the smallest amounts. Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you can help more people survive cancer.. Every pound you donate really does make a difference – so please sponsor me now!. Many thanks for your support. Together we will beat cancer
