My Story
It’s become a bit of an annual event now that I take part in the RFL in some shape or form. I first became involved in 2017, running the 5k, having suddenly lost my auntie Di in 2016. Her loss was a massive shock to my family, as was my Nana Bet’s passing previously. In 2018 I then completed the 5k Muddy RFL, running in memory of my family’s two angels. 2019 was different. I ran the 10k, not only for my two angels, but also in support of an amazingly brave woman, who I love very much, and who was fighting her fight. Julie was one of a kind. In 2020 I’ll be running in memory of all three women. Each of them taken before their time by this dreadful disease. Sadly 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. It effects so many families everyday. Every donation makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Although this won’t bring back our loved ones, it might bring us one step closer to ridding the world of cancer... surely that’s a good enough reason to donate/get involved? I’ll be running the pretty muddy 5k in September this year. Any donations are greatly received. Thank you xx
