My Story
In April this year, my younger sister was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, a synovial sarcoma in her throat incorporating her voice box. She will soon be undertaking substantial surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, to hopefully overcome this awful disease. Cancer Research UK do a significant amount of work to help battle this disease; therefore, I will be taking part in the Bath pretty muddy 5k in September to raise money to support them in their work. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
