In April this year, my younger sister was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, a synovial sarcoma in her throat incorporating her voice box. She will soon be undertaking substantial surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, to hopefully overcome this awful disease. Cancer Research UK do a significant amount of work to help battle this disease; therefore, I will be taking part in the Bath pretty muddy 5k in September to raise money to support them in their work.
