My Story
At Christmas my father fell poorly with a bad back and in January he decided to get checked out at the hospital where he had 2 fractures in his spine. Unfortunately he was admitted into hospital where he spent 17 days while they did some tests to find out the cause of the fractures. He was then referred to Oswestry where they specialised in the bones and a biopsy was taken with a one night stay however 12 Days later he was sent home with the results that he had actually got lung cancer with secondary bone cancer. After 2 days of coming out of Oswestry he was admitted again back at New Cross where they wanted to try radiotherapy to help reduce the pain in his back and then look at other treatment for his lungs? Unfortunately it was too late and the cancer was too aggressive to treat and my Dad passed away one week later. In honour of my Dad and anyone else who is suffering from cancer or has lost someone to cancer I want to raise as much money as I possibly can so that one day they can find a cure for this terrible disease that is taking so many lives young and old. Please please please no matter how small if you can donate this will help tremendously and people like my family who are absolutely devastated by the loss of my Father/Granddad/Great Grandad/Brother/Uncle/Cousinat the young age of 67 😢 Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
