My Story
HELLO. I am Lucy, you may have seen me absolutely destroying the Sport Relief mile in 2007, but now I am back by popular demand to run (read: crawl) the London Royal Parks Half Marathon in October. For some indication of my running ability - the park wardens regularly ask me if I'm okay, and the bin man that used to chat me up has now ceased his advances after spotting me mid-jog. In all seriousness though, the main reason for these crazy shenanigans is my dad's untimely death from nasty old cancer in 2012. He wasn't particularly fond of cancer but he DID like running, so put 'em together and TADAAAA, 5 years later I am running a half marathon for Cancer Research. I will be eternally grateful for any spare pennies you can donate - you get to raise money for charity, and I get to have what will inevitably be the most excruciating 2 to 15 hours of my life, everyone's a winner. love and kisses Lucy xxxxxxxxxxxx
