Lucy Walks All Over Cancer
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate your support!
As some of you know, in May last year I was diagnosed with diffuse large B cell non hodgekins lymphoma. Cancer. I was told I was weeks away from death, I got so poorly I was advised to say goodbye to my children... not what any mother wants to hear, ever. I am being treated at Leicester Royal Infirmary. This has so far included 6 rounds of RCHOP chemotherapy, CT scans, MRI scans, x rays, endoscopy procedures and PET scans. My last chemo was in October 2018, and my last biopsy results came back ’no evidence of previously diagnosed lymphoma’. Needless to say this was amazing news to my family and I, and I am hoping and praying that I have almost reached the light at the end of the tunnel. I still have a way to go, but I can see it! 10000 steps a day isn’t a lot to some, and may not seem like a challenge. But the reality is that for me, since being ill I have not had the strength to open a packet of crisps at times. I’ve not been able to open a drink, pick my feet up to walk, get out of the bath or tuck my children into bed. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and visit my page. If you are able to donate, please do. Thanks again.
