Im sure you all know that 3 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had surgery, chemo and radio therapy (the full works). I am now 2 years clear and am doing really well. But...just before Christmas Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Completely un-related and found only by mammogram. She has just finished her 2nd chemo and is on her road through treatment. She was so strong for me, I want to do the same for her. Advances in treatment and research mean that me and Mom have better outcomes from our diagnosis. Our treatments (although they have their side effects) have made great advancements. I will be running this race for my Mom and any other person who is affected by cancer. For people who might be diagnosed, going through treatment and who are through the other side. This one is for you.
