My Papa lost his battle with small cell lung cancer in November 2020, at the age of 53, after a year long fight. He was the anchor of my family, the light of my life - he was everything to me. I run this race in the hope that we can make a difference to the lives of those affected by this disease. I run with the hope that one day, families won’t have to grieve because of cancer. I run with the hope that one day, we will beat cancer once and for all.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
