My Story
My family and I went through a lot of heartache and my mum went through a lot of physical and emotional toils. My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and she tried so hard to beat it, but eventually we were informed it was terminal, that is a day I will never ever forget and I will never stop thinking of how scared my mum must have been knowing she was going to die before her time. My mum left many people behind who are pained by her passing, she also left behind her granddaughter Emily whom she doted on. But we will never forget her and we will make sure Emily knows all about her granny. I have know people who have lost someone to cancer, my best friend Aileen lost her gran to cancer and my awesome friend Claire who lost her mother to breast cancer also. We all lose people in life, but to have them taken away too soon is a pain that never truly goes away. So myself, my sister Claudia and my best friend Aileen are doing pretty muddy in memory of those we have lost, but also to benefit all those still fighting. Cancer thought it only took from me someone who was not only my mum but also the best and longest friend I have ever had. But it didn't realize it gave me something too, determination and purpose!
