Everyone knows someone whose life has been changed by cancer. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, can you believe that? It's shocking to realise that if you don't get it, your partner may well do or one of your children. Your best chance of survival is early diagnosis, so let's not be afraid to squeeze those melons and plums, get our bits prodded and brushed and not forgetting sending off our poo!!! However embarrassing that might be, it won't feel anything near as bad as being diagnosed with cancer that could have been detected earlier. I am certainly no runner so will be walking the course with friends from my WI. We will be walking in memory of our friend Celia who died last year and for all those people who are taking cancer on right now.
