My Story
This will be my third Race for Life. The first year I ran it for my amazing Aunty Mia who was fighting and great friends who had already had and won the battle. The next year my lovely Aunty Kath who sadly passed away. I remember saying last year, that this year I wanted no new names on my back. Never ever did I think that name would be mine. So! Louise's Army was formed! As the last three months have progressed and I discovered I did need chemo after my surgery I really thought there was no way I could do the Race for Life this year. But never say never! I have woken up today feeling good and determined. 3 weeks today is the date. Will be day 3 after chemo 2. Can I? I'm going to try!! So even if I watch it, walk it, run or run/walk it I am intending on being there to support my lovely friends who decided to run it for me, bless their hearts. If I don't manage it, I will virtually run it another day!! I will do it somehow! I wasn't going to ask for sponsors in case I don't manage it but as I've decided I will virtually do it at some point and that I have had to cancel my Great North Run place sadly, this is my Race this year! I will do the Great North Run next year for Breast Cancer Care. So any little amount you can sponsor me would be amazing. I know some of you have very generously sponsored members of my army already so please don't sponsor me too!! If everyone that sponsored me could give £5 maximum that would be amazing. Please! No huge amounts! I hate asking people to sponsor me! So! Huge thank you for all your love and support. Going through something like this makes you appreciate just how loved you are ! Thank you! Xxx Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
