I'm, in full American football kit, taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner

My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. I, alongside a number of my teammates from the Portsmouth Dreadnoughts Womens American Football Team are running the Portsmouth 5k Race for Life in July. The twist is we are running the race in full American football kit, shoulderpads, helmet, everything! Although the idea of doing this fills me with sweaty dread it is completely worthwhile for this very worthy cause! Cancer is so prevalent in our society that I am sure that every single person has been touched by its devastating affects in one way or another. Cancer Research UK is a brilliant charity who I am sure have had a massive impact on the how cancer is identified and treated within the UK.
