Louise's Race for Life
Edinburgh - Holyrood 10k 2018
Sun 24 Jun 2018
Hi everyone 😊 I'm taking part in the Race for Life 10km again this year and I am hoping to raise a little money for Cancer Research whilst I do it! Most people know why I do things like this and why I am so determined to raise money for Cancer Research. In June 2011, I was diagnosed with cancer.  Following treatment in Edinburgh and London, in September 2011, I was told that it was gone. I continue to have very regular check-ups and so far, so good 😀 I've now been cancer free for 79 months!! Being told you have Cancer is absolutely heartbreaking. Your whole world falls apart. Then to be told you've beaten it and are cancer free is the best feeling in the world. You really appreciate how lucky you are and want to live life to the fullest.  I want to help others get to where I am lucky enough to be.  I also want to raise money in memory of those we have lost to this awful disease. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please, if you can, sponsor me now. If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no extra cost to you. Help me show cancer that hell hath no fury like a woman in pink 💗 Love Louise xxxxx
