GG Alison (Edith's Great Granny)
My Story
Edith didn't quite manage to meet her Great Granny Alison, who passed away due to cancer on the morning she was born. Because of this, she wants to help raise money for Cancer Research UK's groundbreaking work and hopefully save some lives in the future. Edith has been in training for just over a year and has learned to walk so she can now take part in the Race for Life 5K (with a bit of help from Mummy! Edith will give walking/running a good go, with Mummy carrying her for the bits she can't quite manage. Please help her raise money for Cancer Research UK by sponsoring her for this event.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
