So some of you may of noticed I’ve been quite quiet on fb recently, which is definitely unusual for me !! But Back in April my family received some awful news that my mum has AML cancer (Acute myeloid leukaemia ) this has been so devastating and so hard for us to hear and take in, but it’s no where near as hard as it’s been watching someone we love go through so much suffering and pain whilst she has been having chemotherapy.. This disease is awful and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. We have all remained quiet about this as it was something we didn’t want to broadcast across social media, and even to some of our closest friends, but that is due to my mums privacy and not wanting anyone to feel sorry for her or for her to be fussed over, or bombarded with messages as it has been very hard to take in and even harder for mum to get her head around. So in admiration of my mum and many other reasons I have signed up to do a half marathon on the 25th September 2021 😬 This challenge is massively outside of my comfort zone and will be a real battle to complete however it’s nothing in comparison to what my mum is enduring daily so support me in supporting her get through this!
