Louise's "For Mitchie" Page

On the 9th June I will be taking part in the Great North Swim! ?? Eeeek! I spend a lot of time in the water these days as a waterbabies instructor, but open water swimming is totally new to me! ?? As some of you may already know, my good friend & fellow Waterbabies instructor Tara's little boy Mitch (3) was diagnosed with a brain tumour in January this year. Mitch had a major operation to remove 1 of the tumours and has now finished 6 weeks of radiotherapy, he's doing well so far & the next step is chemotherapy. Its a tough time for all the family, & I cannot begin to imagine what they are going through. So myself, Tara & Kitty are doing the great North swim together!! We're doing this for Mitchie! #ForMitchie I've started my training and it's going well, my next step; to purchase a wetsuit and get some open water experience! I'm very excited and at the same time a litter nervous, but I'm sure it will be fun! PLUS at the same time I'm raising money for such a great cause!! (At least £500! Hppefully more!) So let's do it!
