My Story
After losing my Nan to Breast Cancer in 2012 I had always wanted to run for Cancer Research UK, but as a larger girl I never thought I would be able to achieve even a 5k. This isn't a weight challenge but since losing 5st 7lbs I have decided i can do it and I will do it, if I can lose that weight and keep it off for 2 years, I can face my inner demons and do this run for Nan and all the other strong women who have faced or are facing cancer right now! I am starting my training plan this week and have no running experience except from a casual jog in the gym and will be doing a 10week for 10k training program. I would love in those 10 weeks to hit my target of £300 and with any luck see it double!! Thank you for all your support and I look forward to that selfie at the finish line :) Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
