My Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. This March we are each walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. For us, a packet of crisps would be the first thing to spring to mind on hearing the word 'Walkers'!! However, having seen a poster in our Doctor's surgery recently extolling the virtues of walking to help reduce the risk of a heart attack, Type 2 diabetes and Cancer, this campaign is just the incentive we needed to get us started. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
