I am taking part in Guildford's 5K to help Cancer Research UK prevent, diagnose and treat cancer
In April 2016 someone particularly close to me was diagnosed with colon cancer which later spread to the liver and lung He has battled intense chemotherapy, followed by 3 operations to remove tumours in the colon, liver and lung. Fortunately he reacted well to the treatment and has been continuing to challenge himself ever since. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research's work, so please sponsor me now. Here's how my run and your sponsor can help: - £270 covers the cost of a trial for a day to find the best treatment for children with a rare type of leukaemia, whose cancer has come back after treatment - £11 buys a lab timer to keep our scientists on track as they go about their work, finding out what makes a cancer cell tick - £50 buys a scientific sieve to separate out big bits and small bits of DNA to reveal vital clues about how to beat cancer sooner Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
