My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. I myself am currently fighting cancer, with having had surgery in Dec 24 to remove both my groin limphnodes (leaving me with permanent limphedema from the waist down) and starting my radiotherapy and chemo next week (w/c 7th April). Even with my new lifelong condition, I am still one of the lucky ones, and together with my 10 year old daughter, Sophie, we will be doing Race for Life this year to help make more 'lucky ones'. As this is my first Race for Life, I have just set my target for £100 as I don't know what the 'norm' is. I/we would love to smash this target with your help though. Therefore, please can you donate no matter how big or small to my/our page so that we can continue to fight this cruel disease and one day cure it! Cancer affects both the individual and their nearest and dearest, it devastates families. Please help stop this and donate to this fab cause. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
