I'd rather not see any more of my friends and family have to fight cancer. Brave people. xxxx
In memory of
Riad
I'm running round Alexandra Park this year as part of a team, in memory of our dear friend Riad who lost his very brave battle with cancer in February 2017. Riad was the life and soul of any party, and a really good man, great husband and wonderful father. Cancer doesn't take any notice of all that though, so we have to keep on trying to do what we can to raise money for the research. Sadly, I've known two young people who lost their fight, so although the medicine is groundbreaking, it still needs more money thrown at it. I'm not a great runner, usually have to stop and walk on my little jaunts, but having seen two people not give up, and go through hell, I think I can put myself through a little discomfort for this cause. My challenge to myself is to run all the way round without stopping. Thank you for donating, no matter how much or how little, it all helps. xx Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
