My Story
A challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK, for motorcyclists on cheap and inappropriate motorcycles to ride from Land’s End to John O'Groats in 24hrs on the longest day of the year. Bikes must have been bought for no more than £600! I was signed up to do this challenge, and it is a challenge, last year. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to withdraw. So 2023 has dawned and I am trying again, what could go possibly wrong? I don't have the bike yet, that's another story that I will cover via the updates as we get nearer to the longest day. I am attempting to ride over 1000 miles, without using the motorways, in 24hrs. Some of you will now be doing a bit of mental arithmetic, its 41.66 miles an hours. You non-bikers will now be thinking that's easy, I task you to have a look on a map and come up with your own route, you might change your mind. This bastard of a disease will take anybody irrespective of age, sex, ethnicity, colour, creed or social standing. It is like a fire out of control, it has no friends and will destroy anything in its path. Please give what you can and let us help rid the world of this killer in the shadows.
