Lois's Race for Life

Last year my brilliant Auntie Janet was diagnosed with bowel cancer. She went though intensive chemo and radio therapy. It made her incredibly ill, but she's come through the other side and is recovering well. She's here because of our society's investment in cancer research. Cancer survival has doubled in the last 40 years but the survival rate rate for bowel cancer is still just 57% and shockingly for lung cancer is just 7%. I decided to do the run for life because I wanted to contribute to cancer research to find new, more effective treatments so that more people can live. We never believe it will happen us but the fact is 50% of us will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in our life. If you'd like to support me and everyone fighting cancer please donate, every pound will be much appreciated.
