My Story
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. I’m taking on the Walk 44 Miles Challenge this October to help raise money for the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK. Here’s the thing though… wherever I go, my 3 sweet daughters come with me! So by sponsoring me, you’re also sponsoring 3 extra pairs of little legs to do it too. And Rich - he’ll be in on it aswell ;) In July 2017, we lost a lovely friend (and Sofia’s birthday buddy) - Jackie Robinson. She bravely fought bowel cancer, which she was diagnosed with when she was just 34. She passed away just 2 days before her 37th birthday. In March 2022, we lost one of Rich’s closest friends - Andy Swann. A genuinely incredible human (words just don’t do it justice) - Rich feels his absence profoundly. He passed away from bowel cancer at only 41 years old. Both of our friends were married with young families when they were given no choice but to face the awful reality of a cancer diagnosis.
