Liz & Eleanor Walk All Over Cancer
We’re attempting to walk an extra 10,000 steps every day this March for Cancer Research UK, please support us!
In memory of
Susan Preedy
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m going to attempt to walk an extra 10,000 steps every day to help beat cancer sooner. With an average stride, that’s about 5 miles a day or 155 miles over the month. I will walk all my extra 10,000 steps: outside, in whatever conditions are thrown at me, with a six month old in tow! I am taking on this challenge in loving memory of my wonderful Godmothers, Vanessa and Susan, both of whom were inspirational women who died far too young of this horrible disease. Sue in particular had a huge influence on me and my life. Her advice to me was invaluable and I miss her everyday. We had some of our best chats and laughs whilst out on walks and I often think of her and talk about her on walks with my daughter. Whilst 5 miles a day isn’t necessarily the most extreme challenge I’ve taken on, it appealed to me straight away because of the connection to Sue. It will also be interesting given the slump in my fitness after having a baby... I will be carrying or pushing the extra 6kg of said baby on my daily 5 miles! Please help me and Eleanor ‘march through March’ and fund life-saving research by sponsoring us a little, if you can. I’ll keep you posted through the month with our progress. Thank you very much!
