Liza's Action Challenges 2020

So I have decided that 2020 will be the year to 'up my game' and raise a larger amount of money for Cancer Research UK. I am taking part in 6 events this year in the hope that i can raise a substantial amount. They are: January - Winter Walk 42km April - Easter Walk 50km May - Jurassic Coast 100km June - Lake District 25km July - South West Coast 2 Coast 100km September - Thames Path 100km I am training for them already, and am out walking nearly every day doing small walks, and then larger walks when i can fit them in between work and my other hobby - brass banding. I did a 35.75km walk just this weekend gone and have joined LDWA (long distance walkers association) to get some training walks in with people so i am not always doing the walks alone. I currently have a very good friend with terminal bone cancer, my mother inlaw has terminal cancer, and my sister inlaw has managed to beat her battle this year with cancer for now. I am walking in honour of all those people close to me that have or are still battling. I lost my nan to cancer in 2013, where we only found out 3 weeks before she died that she even had it. I was with her all the way to the end and if we can stop this happening to future families through funding research then this is what I will do. I have lost friends old and young to this nasty illness. Roadchef is delighted to partner with Cancer Research UK for the next two years.
