Walking to my radiotherapy appointments and grateful for the research that has enabled my treatment.

My Story

Diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2017. Finished chemo now and radiotherapy starts on 26th February. I intend to walk to radiotherapy appointments each day which will cover most of March which hopefully makes this challenge achievable whilst improving my mental and physical health at the same time. My cancer type is quite aggressive, but fortunately for me as a result of past research there is an additional treatment available that decreases the risk of recurrence. This is my way of giving back and showing my gratitude for the ongoing research into this cruel disease.
