Hi there 😊 Today is World Cancer Day and I have a little favour to ask you all… So, this time last year I found a dent and lump in my left breast and YES, it was Cancer. In a blink I’d been through many tests, therapeutic mammoplasty surgery, lymph node biopsy, radiotherapy and prescribed medication, which I will need to take for the next 5-10 years. Understandably I was shocked when I received the news, as I really thought this isn’t something I would ever hear (as I am sure most people do). But as we hear all the time, 1 in 2 of us will get cancer at sometime in our lives. Thankfully, I was very well looked after by our amazing NHS and they were successful in removing the tumour, with very good margins! The love and support I received during this difficult time from family and friends was overwhelming, but so very much appreciated. As most of you know, I have a 9 to 5, Monday to Friday desk job (basically I sit on my backside all day). So to get me moving I have decided to challenge myself to achieve 10,000 steps every day for the month of March!! Im lucky if i achieve this in total during the working week. This is where you guys come in… I would really love to raise at least £1,000 for Cancer Research. I know this is a big target but I wanted to make my challenge worthwhile. So, if you could find it in your hearts, or rather your pockets to donate, me and Cancer Research will be forever grateful. I have a great team joining me and also walking 10K steps in March; Nick, Jamie, Dan, Les, Alison, Elaine & Chloe. Thank you for reading and hopefully donating. Love Lisa and Team xx
