Lisa's Very 2020 Race for Life
After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. After finding out my father has cancer during this pandemic has been extremely difficult. Not only as a family to come to terms with the diagnosis but the isolation my father has felt, attending hospital appointments alone, feeling isolated at home due to the risk of going out. Family and friends not able to visit the house. It has played on not only my fathers emotions, but our emotions as a family, being anxious and worried that every time we leave the house just for a little bit of fresh air or sanity, there is the potential risk of Covid 19 being bought back home. Cancer has always been something that is out there, you hear story’s or see people with cancer but never expect it to land on your doorstep. There are so many brave souls battling through this and my father is definitely one of them. That's why I'll be taking part in a Very 2020 Race for Life. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor me today!
