My Story
Cancer is so close to home right now which is why I am taking part in the Chelmsford Race for Life to raise money and save lives. I’ll be running for my sister in law who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. Although this was a terrible time for her and the family, she bravely battled through it and has successfully come through the other side. Unfortunately within 2 years, Darryl’s mum (my mother in law to be!) has also sadly been diagnosed with the same thing and is currently also bravely battling through chemotherapy which will be followed by radiotherapy and everything that comes with it. They are both amazing people who mean the world to me and have both shown their courage and strength throughout. I have therefore decided at the last minute to take part in the Race for Life as they both mean so much to me. Please dig deep and sponsor me, every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Every donation you make will be helping to save lives! It’s a cruel disease which is taking the lives of too many people around us, with your help we can beat cancer!!
