I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner. I lost my amazing Dad to this disease and it is so prevalent now I want to do what I can to help.

Dad, The Gaffer

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. I lost my grandad and aunt to cancer when I was much younger but nothing could prepare me for losing my Dad to this cruel disease. He was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer in Feb 2016 and passed away in Oct of the same year despite taking all the available treatment. The chemo was a brutal triple cocktail but he was so brave and strong throughout. He fought hard for every single extra day he had. I would like to raise some money to further research and help to provide more diagnostic tests and treatment for people with cancer. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. We need to beat this. For all our futures. Thank you for reading.
