My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in the Falmouth Race for Life 5k again, to raise money and help save lives, but this year, I am even more determined to do this, as my partner, Arthur, was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer in August last year; Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia, which is a Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, and is treatable, but currently incurable - Also my dear friend and ex work colleague Rose, who has also been diagnosed with a type of Blood cancer too, and is currently awaiting for a possible Stem Cell transplant, after undergoing much Chemotherapy, like my Arthur too. I would like to help to contribute to hopefully one day finding a cure for these and all cancers, and at the same time, would like to raise awareness of some of the rarer type of cancers such as these too. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please, if you can, will you sponsor me. Thank you.
